This is a tutorial on how to make a free counter-strike source server using “source dedicated server” that can be found under the tab tools when you open steam.

There is two parts in the tutorial.. but it is optional for you to watch part 2, but if you have a router i recommend you watch it

Don’t try to join my server because it is probably laggy and will never be on..

Q – How do you change map?
A – Type ” changelevel [map name] ” in console

Q – Why is the IP in 3:46 and 6:14 different?
A – (arlazar) Because of router…ip is changing every hour.

Q – (XFACTOR1995) How to you add other maps like ones that I made?
A – (HELI0PH0BE)go into your Username (C:\program files\steam\steamapps). Find “Source Dedicated server”.
Go into the game you wish to play (cstrike for CSS.
Make a new folder called “maps”.
Copy + Paste, drag n’ drop (or watever) the map(s) imtp the new folder.

Mistakes:
[9th Sentence] amout = amount
[14th Sentence] choose = should

This video shows u how to get a source dedicated server to tickrate 100.
This is what u write in: -tickrate 100
Here is what i do
1.Open up steam
2.Go to tools
3.Download source dedicated server if you don’t got it
4.Right click on source dedicated server and click properties
5.Click on set launch options
6.Write in -tickrate 100
7.Press ok and close and there you go
8.Your dedicated server got now tickrate 100. Enjoy!!! xD

To port forward, you must go to your router and open the ports there. (191.68.1.1)
An easy guide is www.portforward.com
To check if your server is working, open your server, and wait 5 minutes.
then go to www.canyouseeme.org, and type in your port. (27015)
Still nothing?
Try DMZing your router. What this is, is that it opens your server up to everything, so make sure you have a firewall for your router to protect it from threats. You should be able to DMZ your router by an option. Just search everything in your router that says “DMZ”
Still nothing? I don’t know, maybe you haven’t port forwarded properly.
If it works, you should be able to connect to your server by searching in your server tab, and looking at LAN.
If you want someone else to connect to it, they have to connect via the external port. So go to www.findmyip.com. It should look like xx.xxx.xx.xxx. So tell then to connect to externalip:port. For example, my Counter-strike: Source server port is 27015, and my external IP is 60.242.24.225, so i tell my friends or who ever to connect to 60.242.24.225:27015.

If you have any problems, add djjezza to Steam.
