    @Flankercom Steam is great; don’t bash it till you’ve tried it. It’s run by people who understand PC gamers and actually listen to their customers. I buy all my games via steam and I can’t say I have any complaints at all about it. I’ve been using it for several years now and I’ve spent tons of money via it and never had a problem. The only problems are from 3rd party developers, but that isn’t steam’s fault.

    I have a feeling they (all game publishers) are trying to move the pc world toward having to have ALL games run through a 3rd party agents like steam and windows live. At which they will start eventually making us pay 15$ or whatever a month like those who have to pay for xbox live or the playstation version of xbox live. If this happens i’m gonna quit playing games all together it. STEAM SUCKS AND WINDOWS LIVE DOES TOO.

    I understand dedicated servers, and I am a console player, and I would pay $1000 dollars for mw2 if it had dedicated servers. It is ridiculous that it does not have it on any platform. I hate some maps so it would be great to choose my map. The host in Player to player connections usually suck so you lag a lot (I have 25 mbps verizon fios internet so i don’t think its me) and 70% of the time I join a game thats already started with a sucky connection, and I am on the losing team.

    dedicated servers cannot be described, you must experience it yourself. That’s why PC gamers are pissed.

    I mean’t to say “who PLAY the game a lot.”

    Another thing to note about admins for dedicated servers is that they can hire moderators to help them moderate the server and ban people who cheat, exploit glitches, or use racism/bad language (if the dedicated server you’re playing on doesn’t allow racism/cursing).

    Honestly, more console gamers need to understand dedicated servers. They’d love them.

    With dedicated servers you can choose the maps you want to play on and choose servers that have good ping so you don’t lag.

    Plus you can see how many people are on the server and what the player limit is for that server.

    Dedicated servers are owned by gamers in the community who pay the game a lot. The people who own the servers are the admin and can kick people out of the server instantly whenever they want.

    So if someone is cheating the admin can kick them instantly.

Here is an example you may or may not heard about the left 4 dead 2 protest last year all console players were like YA while us PC players were like (sarcastic) wooooo :( , Because for us PC users we can have custom maps to play on that bring us more gameplay like custom skins and that is by the use of dedicated servers we did the same thing in COD4 thats why we still have over 100,000 players still playing COD4 but by us not haveing dedicated all of that is thrown out.
