In short i’m swedish and on a 100mbit line so i’m almost always the host and since iw is so cheap it’s my server that follow my commands, it’s only “dedicated” in spirit. :3
In short join a game become host, change the time, health, gravity, infinity ammo, exp you name it and it will pretty much be your own server. IWnet will still send unsuspecting people to their doom in this hellfire.

wrong… There is …
wrong… There is no dedicated servers on MW2 yet… Because the files you need for Dedicated servers was not released by IW and no one has yet to emulate IWnet. And since every match is based on IWnet, it is going to be very hard to get a real dedicated server that does not use the IWnet. This is NOT a real dedicated server. This is just a normal match where the host is modifying the game using console (~).

What’s up with the internet hostility/anger?
I’m not supporting IW with what they did. I’m ticked off about the their decisions about the game changes as much anyone else. But I’m not acting like a kid about it. And actually people like that does more impacting damage than you seem to possibly fathom. The entire IW network stats gets up thanks to that. So to once again say it, I don’t support IW for the changes to the game. I do however like to play games fair. That’s my other two cents!

hah true that. But that’s why they had dedicated servers before. There were servers specifically for this type of gaming. Some people like a legit fire fight while others prefer flying around XD anywho, we need dedicated servers back =/
