I want to host a website of my own. The site I need is to be dynamic (asp.net) not simple html. I need a free hosting IIS server that can intepret asp.net. I will be able to upload the form and the code behind.

I work for a high school ministry at my church and am wanting to create a website to point the parents to for all the information they need. I’ve been looking at justhost.com and bluehost, as well as others, even homestead. Your best bet is to look for managed dedicated game server hosting on google or yahoo, swear to god that you will find at least 30 of them!

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months’ time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

Here is what I understand. You are looking for a free website to help promote the protection against Elder abuse (I hope) and want to have a free and easy hosting package with a domain.
To explain first before giving an answer, here is some things to consider.
* Are you wanting a free website?
– - If so, then you can not have a domain with www.example.com
* Are you wanting a www.example.com type of domain? Refer to above.
* Are you wanting randoms ads on the site?
– - If you are building off a free server, you will have ads on the page.
Incase you don’t know, this is what you are up against.
* A domain name (example.com) has a yearly charge.
* Hosting package is $1-10 dollars a month.
* Private registration costs extra.
The free website will offer you an easy HTML editor and a website similar to example.com/yourwebsitename.
I use Godaddy for my hosting package. They are simple and easy but I have to design the website to upload it. You could always use the internet to find "templates" that have the design already created for you.
I know a lot of people use yahoo/geocities for a free domain. It really depends what you are looking for. This is why the question was hard to answer. I am not sure if you are looking for an example.com type of domain or just an easy HTML editor type of deal.

You will be given root access to the server and you can upload your applications to your server. A dedicated server account usually allows you more bandwidth and CPU usage than a shared hosting account. You will not have the same restriction like when you are on shared server.

Is there any way at all to make a website withOUT using a webhost? I’m really sick of the webhost that either a) cost too much or b) don’t let you customize your own website using HTML and things…
